This guided walking tour explores how Ottawa’s military monuments have shaped and reflected Canada’s evolving relationship with war, remembrance and national identity. Spanning more than 150 years of history, the tour examines the stories behind prominent memorials, why they were created and how their meaning has changed over time. Visitors will gain a deeper understanding of the events commemorated and the role these monuments continue to play in public memory and conversation.
