Go behind the scenes at the Canadian Museum of Nature's research and collections campus in Gatineau. Meet experts and discover countless fascinating specimens at its annual Open House. Get close to some of the more than 15 million natural-history specimens and artifacts, from dinosaurs and fossils to insects, plants, animals, minerals and more. Visits are self-guided. The event is free, but timed tickets are required. Registration opens October 6 at nature.ca/openhouse (museum members get early access from October 2). Entry runs from 9 am, with last entry at 2:30 pm.
